Updated our plastic surgery computer programs webpage. This webpage includes links to downloadable computer programs and websites and services that have helped grow our plastic surgery practice. It includes things like free faxing service to computer memory upgrades. I guess I should include Skype on there as well.

new laser / Velashape 2

Velashape isn't really a laser. But sometimes it's just lumped into those devices used to make the skin look better "laser" then...

The new Velashape just made itself known to me by our Syneron Sales Rep. It's called the Velashape 2. I have a webage dedicated to listing a bunch of fat shrinking, cellulite busting devices, including lasers.

We haven't gotten the Velashape 2 yet, but it's on our list of things to get eventually. But we want to see results from other colleagues in plastic surgery first. Visit our plastic surgery modesto webpages or our Laser Modesto webpage.

VelaShape is the 1st FDA-cleared non-invasive medical solution for circumferential reduction* and the 1st FDA class II cleared platform for cellulite reduction. Natrelle breast augmentation kits

Size up your options!

Natrelle newly announced for $50, patients interested in breast augmentation can order a kit and try on different breast sizes. The kit includes educational DVD and educational booklets in addition to four different mock-implants (I believe these are two different sizes). These aren't actual breast implants nor do they have actual sizes such as 650 cc's etc. What's great about the kit is that you get $50 off your natrelle implants if you chose to have natrelle as a brand of implants, and also $120 dollars in rebates for other Allergan pruducts: Botox, Juvederm and Latisse. You can find this Natrelle pre-consultation kit on the Natrelle website.

Natrelle.com has asked if we wanted to be on their website - so that patients can find us there. For now, we haven't signed on. We think they have a good product - for now we are searchable through the web via terms:

“Dear Blanch, I ask my runner breast implant patients to refrain from running for a total of 4 weeks following surgery. During the first three weeks, they may walk LEISURELY ONLY, no power walking or walking with weights on their ankles or hands. Starting about the third week, they may do some light aerobic workout on a stationary bike. I ask that they do no more than 30% of their usual workout routine at this time. After the 4th week, they may do whatever they want to do. However, I always caution them to be careful and start out slow. As a runner myself, I find that if I do not run for 2 weeks, I lose quite a bit of what I had prior to the two weeks, even with regular running. Therefore, I ask that they then build up slowly week by week, taking time to reach their preoperative workout level by about the 10th week following surgery. A good supportive sports bra, which may be a bit uncomfortable initially is the Enell sports bra. This bra provides very good support following surgery during workout sessions.
